Out with the old, In with the new..

What a year!

2017 has been quite the year! We’ve seen people come and go, new babies born, and an old friend went home to be with the Lord. We had a seaside baptism, baby dedications, meetings, quiz nights and a barn dance. There were coffee mornings, and countless playgroups with some absolutely lovely tots and their adults. We’ve seen young travellers set off on new adventures around the world, and others come back from their travels. And throughout it all we’ve had God’s loving hand on us, guiding us through every day.

Also, something has changed for us. It seems like we have, individually, rediscovered a fire for God and doing his work, and we’re praying for that to continue throughout 2018 so that we can keep sharing God’s word with the people around us.

What’s next?

We pray that 2018 will be a year where we will all try harder, and do more, and that we will use the building on Queen Victoria Road as a HQ, a busy hub of activities, where as always, anyone can come and ‘do life’ alongside of us. We will laugh, cry, sing, pray, worship, eat, play and be merry together.

But most importantly, we will be a place where God’s name will be lifted high, and where we can show our love for Him – unconditionally and unashamedly!

So come on 2018, let’s be having you!


Lamentations 3:22-23

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
    for his compassions never fail.
 They are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.

The reason for the season

As Christmas is swiftly approaching, we’d like to take a minute to reflect on what Christmas means to us, and what we’re celebrating.

Luke 2:11 says “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”  Jesus didn’t come to condemn the world, but to set us free and pay the price for our sins. So I encourage you to keep that in mind, as you’re buying presents and planning your Christmas food purchases throughout December. Take a moment every now and then,

and spend it with Jesus.

After all – He is the reason for the season!
